Rebecca holds a Daphne Jackson Fellowship funded by the Royal Academy of Engineering and is working in the area of energy modelling and simulation with Dr Ruchi Choudhary. Her research is investigating the potential to reduce carbon emissions arising from the supply and use of energy at Kew Gardens and involves the environmental performance modelling of the individual buildings on the site followed by development of an integrated model of the site to enable design and optimisation of district-scale energy supply systems.
Rebecca holds an MA in Physics from St. John’s College, Oxford, and an MSc in Structural Dynamics from Cranfield Institute of Technology. Prior to joining the EECi she worked for Atkins Science and Technology for 13 years before taking a career break to raise a family.
