I investigate the mechanics of metal forming processes, with the intention of developing novel flexible sheet forming machines. We rely on previous experimental observations, plasticity theory and parametric Finite Element Analysis. In particular I rely heavily on Abaqus with Python scripting. I also use MATLAB for various post-processing optimization tasks.
I maintain a parallel interest and activity in my PhD field of deployable structures, and specifically on multistable shells.
